Event description

The kitchen is a place for cooking, a science lab that sparks experimentation and prototyping. We Whisk, Smell, Lick, Knead and Slurp freely in the kitchen. Through Tactile, Visual, Auditory, Olfactory augmented interactions, how might we design our food experiences through the Senses?

This workshop is for everyone, especially designers but anyone interested in food futures is welcome!

Yasaman Sheri is a Designer and Researcher who works with new technologies to explore possible and becoming futures. Her research focuses on synthetic sensing and the augmentation of body, objects and environment, how they are represented and the way we embed perception and interaction in them. She is currently at Google (X). Yasaman was previously the lead design interactions of the Core Holographic Operating System of Microsoft Hololens, one of the first consumer level Augmented Reality Head-Mounted Displays (HMD) all the way from incubation to development and consumer product. Yasaman is Faculty is Copenhagen Institute for Interaction Design where she teaches Sensory Design and Designing with Life Sciences.
