Beniamino de’ Liguori Carino — Secretary General, Fondazione Olivetti;
Today, Silicon Valley may be the center of innovative business culture, but the model for this arguably dates back to Italy when Adriano Olivetti took over his father’s typewriter business in the 1930s.
Scheduled on the occasion of San Francisco Design Week (June 7-15), a series of events under the collective title of OlivettiWorld, is expected to revisit the key values of the Italian company’s experience – an experience that was at once cultural, social, political, and entrepreneurial.
A project of the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco and the Fondazione Adriano Olivetti of Rome. In association with the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco, Fuseproject, and San Francisco Design Week. Exhibitions curated by Valentina Anania.
