Join us for this lighting talk with Dorota Kabała from We design for physical culture. Dorota will speak about challenges in designing for sports, focusing on wearable technology design process.
The case studies will include projects for kitesurfing, climbing and myHand – 3d printed hand for activities including sports, wearables for horse riding and dance. The presentation will explore User Centered Design, parametric design and prototyping with sensors.
Dorota Kabała runs “We design for physical culture” (we-design.studio) – a design studio with strong experience in sports equipment design based in Poland. Their portfolio highlights include kitesurfing accessories for Nobile Kiteboarding, surfboards, fitness equipment. The studio has also experience in new products development, such as climbing accessories and wearables.
The studio works internationally with sports brands, manufacturers of sports equipment, as well as various institutions and market players who promote sports as a lifestyle. Dorota is also a member of The Spirit of Poland foundation, an official exhibitor at San Francisco Design Week.
