Event description

Join Slow Food SF inside the Parklab Community Garden for beverages, snacks, and a panel discussion on Urban Farming.

There are many community-oriented urban farms as well as vertical farming startups working to produce food in urban areas. Producing local, fresh food has the potential to improve food security and simplify supply chain logistics. Many urban farms contribute to social justice causes including educating youth. What are the different approaches, design challenges, and stakeholder engagements to ensure a sustainable future in urban farming?

Panelists will include leaders from the urban farming community, and will be announced at a later date.

This event is in partnership with Parklab Community Garden, and proceeds go to support urban gardening and food access in San Francisco.

Don't forget tickets for SFDW Opening Night.
