Design for X, a newly founded nonprofit dedicated to harness the power of design to foster social good, will lead a workshop to identify ways and means for designers to actively support social ventures and make a meaningful difference.
Design is playing a central role in the creation, development and success of a growing number of companies, especially in the tech industry. In parallel, social entrepreneurship is rising and the need for private initiatives to foster social good and progress has never been as high.
In this workshop, you will hear about Design for X, a non profit initiative which aims to harness the power of design to solve the most pressing challenges in our communities, have an opportunity to be one of the pioneers of this new movement, and work hands-on on how to apply design as efficiently as possible to social causes.
During this session, Design for X co-founders Caterina Falleni, Lead UX Designer at Samsung Research Lab and Hocine Lourdani, healthcare entrepreneur and consultant, will lead a workshop to identify ways and means for designers to actively support social ventures and have a meaningful difference. During the workshop different case studies of social impact by design will be presented, and we will help you understand how to apply key learnings into the day-to-day design process.
Design for X is looking for 100 talented and purposeful designers for the first beta release of the platform. Join the session to know more. http://www.designforx.org/
